Tenley Study Center

What is Tenley?

Tenley Study Center is a supplementary educational center dedicated to the academic and character formation of young men.  Through academic programs, service projects, and outings, we help young men to seek excellence in their studies and to be men of service.  The Christian orientation of Tenley’s programs is entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.

Programs

Among the many programs offered by the Tenley Study Center for high school students are weekly academic and character-development seminars, SAT preparatory courses, study weekends before exams, volunteer opportunities through the Tenley Achievement Program, and a wide array of summer programs.

High School Seminar Series

The Seminar Series, which is Tenley’s core program for high school students, gives them the practical, intellectual, and moral foundation to be men of character.  Through a combination of classes, one-on-one mentoring, and career presentations by successful professionals, it helps students develop the skills and attitude necessary to be effective in college and later on as a father, a professional, and a citizen.

The Freshman Seminar gives students the big picture of their lives and shows them how to make the most of high school.  The Sophomore Seminar is a speaker series by leading professionals on their careers.  The Junior-Senior Seminar is a course on important philosophical principles.
