Samuel Vanderplas joined The Heights in September 2008, worked in the business office for two years and now works as the School’s webmaster while teaching Greek I, computers I, and seventh-grade science. After studying biblical languages and graduating summa cum laude from Geneva College, he taught English as a second language in South Korea; received a fellowship at the John Jay Institute for Faith, Society, and Law; and worked as a research assistant at the Family Research Council. Samuel and his wife Meredith were married in June 2009, and reside in Manassas, Virginia. Their son Jackson was born in June 2010.
