Michael Monaghan received his B.A. in political science at the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in Merrimack, New Hampshire, with additional studies at the Catholic University of Avila, in Spain. Before teaching at the Heights he worked several years in the United States Senate on the personal staff of Senator Jim Bunning from Kentucky and taught at Saint Thomas More Catholic School in Washington, DC.  He teaches Advanced Placement European History and Ancient History to the eighth grade.
