Mr. Burns was born in San Francisco, California.   He graduated from the Singapore American School and received a B.A. in economics from the University of San Francisco.  He has worked in the construction industry for over twenty years and has experience in all phases of residential and commercial construction. He was the school’s representative on the management team responsible for the library addition and the site work that rebuilt the athletic fields and parking lot.  This year marks his twenty-first year at the school and he is teaching a woodworking elective to the upper school students.  He and his wife, Dru, have four children.
