Originally from St. Louis, Matthew started teaching at the Heights in 2006. He earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 2003, studying Latin, Greek, and philosophy.  He then spent three years in New York City.  While there, he earned an M.A. in Classics at New York University and taught Latin to NYU undergraduates.  He has also worked at a supplementary educational program for boys in the South Bronx called the Crotona Center.  He now teaches Latin to ninth graders at The Heights and is one of the advisors for upper school students.
