Bishop Walsh-vs Maria Goretti--Win 3-0 - @ Bishop Walsh
Win 3-0 - 08/16 - 3:00 pm
Bishop Walsh--win 5-0 - @ Bishop Walsh
The Heights team was the only one to go undefeated at the tournament of four teams (the others being Bishop Walsh, St. John's Catholic Prep, and St. Maria Gorretti). Not only were we undefeated, but we also allowed no goals. In our first match, against Gorretti, we were up by one at the half and then sealed the victory with two more in the second to win 3-0.
In the second game, against Walsh, our defense again shut down the opponent's attack. In fact, our back line was so effective that Walsh's first shot on goal came late in the second half -- and it proved to be their last as well. The final score of that match was 5-0 with the first goal scored within the first 5 minutes of play.
At the end of the day, five players from The Heights came away with trophies: Mark Brown as MVP, Andy Perez-Benzo as best offensive player, and Stephen Hadford, Michael Kilner, and Charles Lavallee as All-Tournament players. - 08/22 - 12:00 pm

The Heights third official game against Bullis, proved how tenacious the Heights defense could be. Though a scoreless game both teams had a number of close scoring chances, with many shots hitting of cross bars and posts. The game was an exciting hard fought battle, that is traditionally expected when these two teams meet. The Heights ties 0-0. - 09/12 - 4:30 pm
V @ Landon--Lost 1-2 - Away
Coming off a very physical game against Bullis, the Height’s proved that they could take their intensity up a notch against the always tough and physical, Landon. Though the weather conditions were very wet and rainy The Heights started off very aggressive and scored the first goal; a 12 yard drilled shot from Andy Perez-Benzo that the goalie could not handle. Shortly after, Landon scored off a free-kick that slipped though Stephen Hadford’s hands. Landon’s second goal was scored on a cross that slipped through the diving defense and punched into an empty net, not 3 yards away. The Heights were resilient and unrelenting but unfortunately could not find the back of the net to tie it up. The Heights lose 2-1.

V vs St Albans--Lost 1-3 - Home
The Heights home opener was another physical battle, against St. Albans. The first twenty minutes was a defensive clash that was finally ended by a beautiful 22 yard left footed shot by captain, Mark Brown. Unfortunately for the Heights, St. Albans was able to tie the game seconds before half time. Depleted but not out the Heights fought with heart despite being down a man however eventually forfeited a second goal. With fifteen minutes left in the game St. Albans put it away with a penalty kick from a hand ball in the box. The Heights lose 3-1.
- 09/19 - 4:30 pm
V @ St Anselms--won 2-1 - Away
Coming off a rough home loss against St. Albans it was important that the Heights win their match against St. Anselm’s. The Heights fell behind by a goal quickly in the first half, when a low driven cross was not cleared by the defense and a close shot was placed in the side of the net. However, shortly after the Heights answered with a score from freshman Santi Mansilla, when he crossed a low-driven ball near the corner that the St. Anselm’s goalie could not handle and dropped into the goal. Minutes later a beautiful threw ball from Perez-Benzo to Mark brown set up a break away goal. The Heights precision passing and tough defense, led by back-up goalie Larry Knight and sweeper Charles Lavallee, in the second half ultimately led to a Height’s win. The Heights win 2-1.
