Season Summary - Home
The overall record for the Cavs 07-08 season was 2-6. This record does not come close to reflecting the hard work an intensity that the team exhibited day in and day out during practice and their matches. The team was led by senior captain Raf Notario and fellow senior Nick Reaves. Both showed tremendous leadership skills throughout the season with their overall play and positive support they offered to the other younger players. The team hopes to capitalize on their youth next spring with eight returning players, three of which are all play in the singles position. A great victory this season was against Georgetown Day School which the team lost to earlier in the season. The Cavs won with a final score of 4-3, with key wins coming Paul McCoy at the #3 singles position and the #1 doubles team, consisting of Raf Notario and Paul Maloney. Raf Notario was again, "Mr. Consistent" for the Cavs this season, posting a personal record 6-2 and losing only against the top players in the area who were also nationally ranked. Raf Notario will be attending and playing for the Gorgetown Hoyas in the fall.
