  The Heights opened at The Pallotti Lacrosse Tournament  at the University of Maryland's Comcast Turf Fields against Bishop McNamera getting scoring from 10 different Cavaliers.  James Patterson (4-2), David Pim (4-2) and Bobby Coward (3-3) led a balanced scoring attack as the defense led by Casey O"Neill and Goalie Zach Blewett played 3 scoreless quarters.

  Heights 8, Pallotti 10 

   

  The Championship Game of the Pallotti Tournament saw The Heights come up just short.  In a closely matched game, The Heights scoring was led by James Patterson (2-3) and David Pim (2-0).  Bobby Coward, Sebastain Lulli, Sean McGovern and Joseph Franco all contributed goals for the Cavaliers.

  The Heights defeated Sidwell soundly in a strong team effort.  The attack led by James Patterson (2,2), David Pim (3,0) and Bobby Coward (1,1) led a balanced scoring with midfielders AJ Guarente (2,2), Sebi Lulli (1,1) and Sean McGovern (1,0) rounding out the scoring.  Goalie Zach Blewett (15 saves) and Senior Defensemen Casey O'Neill held Sidwell scoreless the first half.

  The Cavaliers lost to St. Johns DC 6-10 during spring break.  Five different Heights players scored, led by AJ Guarente (2-0), but the offense was never able to get working in this hard fought game.

  Won 14-8

  The Heights started out fast on Saturday, scoring 8 goals in the 1st period in route to a 14-8 victory of St. Johns Catholic Prep of Frederick.  Bobby Coward (2-4) and AJ Guarente (4-1) led a balanced offense, followed by David Pim (3-0), James Patterson (2-1), Sean McGovern (2-1) and Sebi Lulli (1-0).  The defense led by Casey O'Neill, Jimmy Ryan and goalie Zach Blewett held down a talented St. Johns squad.  The Heights begin home play next week with Gunstan Day on Tuesday followed by MILL rival Calverton on Saturday.

  The Heights opened league play with a convincing 16-1 win over visiting Gunston Day.  AJ Guarente had an outstanding effort at midfield leading the scoring (3-4), winning all 9 of his face-offs and collecting 8 groundballs.  Bobby Coward (4-0), David Pim (2-2) and James Patterson (2-1) led a balanced attack, with Michael Ganassa (2-0), Joseph Franco (2-0), Danny Harper (1-0) and Sean McGovern (0-2) rounding out the scoring.  A strong defensive effort was led by goalies Zach Blewett (6 saves) and Nick Salem (3 saves).

   The Heights made a dramatic comeback Saturday to defeat conference rival Calverton 7-5.  Trailing 5-1 in the second period, the Cavaliers scored the next 6 goals while holding the previously undefeated Cougars scoreless.  Leading the defense was Goalie Zach Blewett with 12 saves, Casey O'Neill, Michael Lutes and Drew Harper.  James Patterson (3-1) led all scorers and faced off strong, while David Pim (2-0), Bobby Coward (1-1) and AJ Guarente (1-1) rounded out the scoring.

  Bullis 11, The Heights 4
  The Cavaliers lost a tough game to the Bullis Bulldogs.  After a rough opening quarter, the game turned defensive in the 2nd period as neither team could score.  Bullis came out strong after the half and held the Cavaliers offense in check.  James Patterson (2-0), AJ Guarente (1-0) and David Pim (1-0) scored in the disappointing loss.

  The Heights rebounded quickly as 10 different Cavaliers scored.  Attackman Bobby Coward (5-0) and Midfielder AJ Guarente (3-4) led the offense.  The Heights prepares for 3 conference games next week, including defending MILL champion Notre Dame on Wednesday.
